Appreciation of Eduardo
I have just finished reading Re-evaluation Counseling: A Culturally Competent Model for Social Liberation by Eduardo Aguilar, and I think it is excellent. The notion of cultural competence, placed on that graded scale ranging from cultural destructiveness to cultural proficiency, is very useful. I particularly like the idea of making explicit a distress recording which has been implicit.
