Human closeness and connection of all kinds is possible between us.  It is what we can and do reach for from the time we are young.  Sexism, male domination and male oppression in our society deeply impact every human–whether you are born female, male or intersex. Sexual exploitation is a key mechanism used to install and enforce sexism and internalized sexism on all girls and women. Boys and men are also systematically hurt with extra harshness, isolation, violence and misinformation.  Male domination targets young girls, women, young boys, and many men in our society. Sexual exploitation in all its forms, confuses, harms and interferes with us reaching for full connection to others and being our powerful selves. It wrecks the lives of girls and women from early on.  Young people and LGBTQ people are also targeted. It ruins the lives of those in the oppressor role as well.  It is pervasive–no one is untouched. Come learn about what sexual exploitation is and how deeply it is embedded in our society. Discharge and look at how it has impacted you and others around you.  Think about how to begin/continue the work toward eliminating sexual exploitation and ending sexism, male domination, and male oppression for us all. This is work we can do together.   It is hopeful work. No matter what kind of experiences or feelings you have, healing is possible.  We must reach for and be with each other to make that happen.  We hope you will join us.

Interpretation: Option 1 We will interpret into French, Hebrew, Basque, and Greek. Option 2 We will interpret into Japanese.
We cannot organize interpretation into additional languages at this time. However, if you would like to attend and are able to self organize please contact Karen the organizer.

Ubuntu: We can support people with unstable internet by pairing you with someone with stable internet. Please register and request this as early as possible. However we can't guarantee this support after Wednesday November 13th.

We will probably have 3 mini sessions during this webinar. We recommend arranging your mini-sessions with people you have relationships with ahead of time. Working on this topic can bring up big feelings for many of us. Counseling with people that we already have close, connected relationships with is a good contradiction to our hurts here and can make our discharge all the more accessible. We will include more information about this in the welcome email sent prior to the workshop. You might also consider organizing some of your community members to attend with you.  Register with your class/community/constituency or if you are local, consider attending the webinar and having sessions together in person.

We understand that oppression makes access to money unequal. Pay only what you can. Paying $0 is fine. If you can pay, most of your fee will help the work that RCCR does to support our International community.

Fee: $0 - $50 USD

If attending from the US, send check to:
