Patterns of Preferring Certain People
Patterns of favoring or preferring certain people or groups of people may have been an even earlier root than greed for the growth of patterns of oppression.
Being “preferred” or “chosen” as an individual or a group of people seems to occur only out of distress, although it is so commonplace in our current societies as to have received general approval and very little suspicion of or recognition of its patterned basis until now.
