A Wonderful Coming Together of Nigerian Men
I’m still reminiscing about the Nigerian Men’s Workshop [see previous article]. It was wonderful coming together as Nigerian men to discharge on what is hard about being male. I was one of the panelists. It was a relief to talk about when I had first been saddled with responsibilities and the weight of societal expectations on the masculine gender. My highlights were seeing faces that I had not seen in a long while, learning that I am not in the struggle alone, and discharging on the burden of meeting responsibilities as a man and on the other hard things about being a man.
