Thoughts on Liberation
new RC eBook

I was at a workshop at La Scherpa, near Santa Barbara, California, USA, around 1975. Work had been done on women's liberation by that time.

There was a woman there who was heavily connected to the wide-world women's liberation movement, as was I. Harvey was giving her a session on her feelings about men and was upholding the proposition that men were fully human and not the enemy of women-that we should not be focusing on men as our enemy but rather on the social institutions that oppress everybody. She wasn't going to have much to do with that line.

I liked her very much, but I loved Harvey for standing up for men. (I was the mother of a boy.) All along he never allowed the trashing of some group of human beings for the benefit of some other group of human beings.
