Rapport Co-écoute dans la province de l'Est Cameroun
Il s'est tenu le 18/4 1998 à Abong Mbang dans la province de l'Est un atelier de la co-écoute, ce qui a émerveillé les participants et où les participants ont apprécié ce que c'est que l'art d'écouter. Tout le monde a suivi avec intérêt l'atelier parce que, disent-ils, l'écoute chez eux c'est quelque chose qui n'existe pas et ça amène toujours des querelles, des bagares, voir même des séparations.
Trois groupes ont été constitués: le groupe des jeunes, le groupe des femmes, le groupe des vieillards. Onze personnes ont participé à l'atelier qui a duré six heures du temps. C'est une zone enclavée. La majorité de la population consomme la drogue et l'alcool. Actuellement la co-écoute est bien implantée à Yaoundé et Douala Est (Abong Mbang) et la prochaine étappe sera le Sud Ouest (Limbe). Le Sud a déjà bénéficié d'un atelier.

Report of Co-Counseling in the East Province of Cameroon
A Co-Counseling workshop was held on April 18, 1998 in the Eastern province of Cameroon. It amazed all the participants, and they appreciated the art of listening. Eleven people attended the six-hour workshop. The Eastern province is an area in which the majority of the population consumes alcohol and drugs.
Everyone followed the workshop with interest. They said that listening is something that doesn't exist among them and what usually happens is quarrels, fights, and even separations.
Three groups were formed: a group of young people, a group of women, and a group of elders.
By now RC is well established in Yaoundé and Douala East. The next step will be the Southwest (Limbe). The South has already benefited from a workshop.
