Actuaries
Thank you for the honor of being Information Coordinator for Actuaries.
Actuaries are a combination: accountant, attorney, and mathematician. They hold top management positions at insurance companies responsible for determining reserves, pricing policies, and cash flow profitability projections. In consulting firms they conduct expert witness work, design pension programs, and review health benefits.
I want actuaries to write to me because out of the 20,000-plus certified actuaries, I have yet to find one that does RC. They would be a powerful force in creating wide world change. When actuaries talk, people listen.
I have fifteen years experience as an enrolled actuary, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and an associate of the Society of Actuaries. I am also a recruiter for actuaries and will be a speaker for the Chicago Actuarial Association Annual Meeting in March in Rosemont, Illinois, USA. I will talk about effective communication and incorporate RC ideas on the subject. I haven't decided what to call my talk yet. Any suggestions?
