Carefully Resuscitate the Discharge Processes

Men need a lot of time and opportunity to work out how to make the discharge process work well for us, as it was largely denied to us, beaten out of us, and forbidden forever (we thought). Many of us decided, because of humiliation and pain, that discharge was never going to be of any use to us ever again. We need loving patience and persistence as we work through undoing this decision and making discharge work for us. Otherwise the discarged process may seem to be imposed on us - something we have to do because that's what people do in Co-Counseling. Counsellors need to have a tone of relaxed expectation that men can fully reclaim this ability to discharge in whatever form it takes. No one form of discharge is necessarily betten than another
