Why Not Keep Them Both?
I would like to propose that we do away with the current men's commitment and also the very concept of a men's commitment and replace it with a universal men's understatement. The one I propose is:
"It sometimes happens that a man is deeply loved and valued for who he is rather than for what he is able to do."
