Poem by Harvey Jackins
How shall the humans of the
future live? Without distress, in
love and zest and peace? Of
course they will, but mystical
goodwill
Is not enough. We have a
lot to learn of practical
details. We must divide
The work between us in
rewarding ways, Allow,
encourage growth in
everyone, Yet know the
wishful fancy from the fact
Not won to yet. No one shall be
oppressed Nor be imposed on,
yet shall all contribute, And
workability shall bring
accomplishment. The techniques
of community we fashion May
guide the great Community
to come.
